Rita Tayenaka is an experienced Broker who believes in keeping clients for life. With a personal philosophy focused on exceptional client service, she dedicates her time and energy to uncovering the specific needs and wants of her buyers so she can help them find the perfect home. For clients looking to sell, she provides upscale marketing efforts and state-of-the-art strategies to improve the odds of a successful sale. Her 17 years of experience have helped her build an extensive networking system to keep the professional real estate community informed of all of her listings and buyers. Above all, Rita prides herself on being available to her clients through every step of the process — before, during, and after the sale to ensure every detail is taken care of.

  • Rita attended Michigan State University and received her MS from
  • California State Long Beach in 1982.
  • She secured her Real Estate License in 1989
  • Achieved an E-Pro Certification in 1999
  • Acquired her Broker’s License in 2006.

After nearly a decade of teaching high school children in Illinois and California, Rita helped a wide variety of buyers and sellers as a Century 21 Realtor from 1989 to 2005 and then joined The Martin Group in Mission Viejo from 2005 to 2007. Today she owns the boutique company Coast to Canyon Real Estate where she serves as Broker and manages seven agents in their virtual office.

Rita has held the volunteer role of Director of the Orange County Association of Realtors since 2011, and also serves as President Elect for the Orange County Association of Realtors.

She received the Centurion Award for her work with Century 21 six years in a row and achieved their Quality Service Award five years running. She is very active in the community, volunteering her time with Easter Seals, Bathgate PTA, Las Flores PTA, Capistrano Valley Aquatics Boosters, Guide Dogs of America, Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity

Rita enjoys spending her free time with her husband Don, a retired Fire Captain for LA County Fire, and her two sons Torrey and Danny.
